My Speech

 For the Past two Weeks for Manaiakalani We have been making a Slide With photos that go with each paragraph of our Speech and we had to record our speech and then use Screencastify to record our Screen . As i was doing this I got Pretty Confused because there was A Lot to do and it was just a Mess. But the Think that I liked about it is that We have to Put each Picture on each slide to Describe Our Paragraphs on our Speech but the Thing that I mostly didn't like was recording My Voice and I normally get shy . But I enjoyed it but it took some time but It was fun Making and I hope everyone enjoyed Listening to my Speech !!!!!!

Maths

Today in our Maths Class My maths Group and I did a Maths Activity About a Parking Meter . The maths Activity is telling us that there's 15 minutes for 50c and they put 3.50c in and it's asking us What time did the money expire if 50c is 15m and we put in 3.50c . We did 15 times 7 because there's 15 minutes pure 50c and there's 7 50c's in 3.50 and it equals 105 but we changed it to the time which is 1 hour 45m . Then we went 1 hour 45m + the time that they put the money in at 3.15 which equals 5.00pm !!              I found this Activity Fun because it was easy to do and it only took us not even 5 minutes to solve !!   

Polyline

For the Past a couple Weeks, Room 12 and 14 have been learning to make a Polyline of Ourselves and Putting it as our Profile On our Blog . Polyline is Kind of Challenging to use Because it's Kinda New for me and it takes a Fear while to learn how to use it properly but its a Good Tool to use. !! 

Maths Week

This Week for Maths Week My Maths Class and I are doing a Maths Activity called Money , Money , Money . Each day we answer maths questions from the Activity and For each Answer we get right there's a Certain amount of money that we get and the person with the most money at the end of the week we Win And We May or May not Get a prize for it ! :)  My Experience with it , the Questions are not to hard , But at some parts we might have to do a bit of thinking but It's Fun I GUESS :)

Sustainability

This Term Our Year 6 Neighbourhood has been Learning about Sustainability ! If you don't Understand what Sustainability means , Being Sustainable Means ... It's any Natural Resource like , Trees , Plants , Fruit , Vegs , Reducing Rubbish , that can be Continued to live and be spread . So like if people Reduce Rubbish all the Time but then people Stop someone can start doing it Again and it Continues , Thats Being Sustainable , To continue to do something . Anyways Our year 6 Neighbourhood Walked down to the Environment Center To Learn About how to Reduce our Waste And Composting . What I learnt About Reducing Waste is that Were trying to Change And start Using Stuff that Aren't Plastic In our Houses and Reusing Plastic Bottles or Other Plastic to use them for useful things in your Home Like using Plastic Bottles for your Plants and other Reusable stuff.  What I learnt About Compost is what Foods Worms Shouldn't Eat :  Meats, bones, fat and anything oily or greasy , Dairy products ,Canned sauces , Citrus foods like lemons, limes and oranges Onions and garlic and Spicy foods 

Environment Center

     Yesterday Our Year 6 NeighbourHood Walked to the Environment Center to learn About Sustainability About Pollution and how we can stop using Plastic and Finding ways to Reuse It . The Reason why we are trying to make a change about not using Plastic is Because the Rubbish pit in Paeroa is getting full and 7 Truck Loads of Rubbish have to Travel to Paeroa Everyday to the Rubbish Pit and Most           Rubbish Take Years to Compose into the ground. At the         Environment  Center we learnt Ways how to reuse Plastic       and using it for Something Useful that We use at home .  We   Learnt How to   Look after Worms And What                           types of foods to feed them .  It's useful to have compost Bins at your house because you can get Rid of MOST of your food scraps and paper and put it into the Compost Bit for the Worms to turn it into Compost.                   

Collaborative\ Paper Wheels

Last Week we did Paper Wheels , Paper Wheels are huge wheels that you only make out of News Paper and sellotape and everyone has to fit in it , Everyone had a Group of Six . you have to Make a Huge Wheel and and make it roll by everyone pushing it with there hands across the field .  It was kinda challenging because everyone only had 20 minutes to make them and it was Pressuring we had to make sure it was Perfect and had lot's of Sellotape. When we started facing we were taking our time because we knew that if we go to fast IT'S GONNA BREAK . we were struggling to turn around to go back cause we had to go to the other side of the room and back . But then everyone's started breaking on the way to the other side so we were pretty confident cause we were winning anyways but then ours broke on the way back but we won anyway's :) , but the whole point of doing this was to learn how to adapt to working with different people and being a collaborative person !!
